GroupWiki Testing

Quick fix to 1.8 due to forgetting to strip out some http tags during wiki creation.  This should sort out file upload problems for any new wikis.

I’ve also re-enabled registrations for a bit.  We’ll see how spammy it gets, I guess…

Unfortunately there seems to be a glut of spam registrations at the moment.  I’ve disabled new registrations for now until I have time to put some better anti-spam measures in place.

I’ve released a small frontend administration plugin (soon to be made somewhat larger), which aims to bring some site-wide like administration plugins to the frontend of a buddypress site.

Currently the only functionality supported is the extension of bp-wiki’s controls (see below) but I will be adding some group controls next week that will enable group administrators to quickly manage members of all their groups….for example. choose make one person a moderator in every group you’re an admin of, ban someone from all your groups, etc.

I’ve released a small bp-wiki plugin update which basically allows it to hook into the frontend admin plugin.  This means that a user can head to their profile page/fadmin/ and perform actions such as moving wiki pages between groups and change wiki page view/edit/etc settings in bulk.

So..update bp-wiki and install bp-fadmin and let me know what you think…or if it kills your site :p

I have uploaded a new version of the buddypress group wiki component that should fix some of the errors people have reported on here.

I’m currently gearing up to move house and dealing with some other freelance projects so I haven’t really got the time to check up on here at the moment, sorry.

I’ve installed the newly rewritten version of the notifications plugin (curtesy of @dwenaus).  Please let him/me know how you get on with it

Version 1.4 1.5 of the GroupWiki plugin has just been uploaded to the WP plugin repository.

This version mostly involves code cleanup to enable us to fix/improve the plugin more easily in future.  I am hoping to release version 1.5 in the next week which will contain the promised bug fixes

I have had a couple of people contact me asking how I’ve setup Namoo to display the latest blog post on the frontpage, with the activity stream beneath.  It’s a very simple child theme so I thought I may as well release the files and a quick guide as a how-to.
