About the ’participate and contribute’ section, I suggest having a look at the list I’ve put together here:
http://www.jmonkeyengine.com/wiki/doku.php/contributeI just think it’s worth noting that there are many other ways to contribute to a project besides direct involvement in code, docs and…

Haven’t tested it myself yet, but surely I will. It looks like a great plugin to organize external references in your post.

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/revisionary/ This neat plugin can add some real value to any wiki site. If you’d like to ease user involvement with your wiki (i.e. no registration needed) but you’re reluctant to open it up for public editing due to potential spam and abuse, this plugin is exactly what you need. What it does is it [...]

1.6 is the old BuddyPress Wiki, the one that relies on WPMU. He should probably call it BPWPMU Wiki or smt

Last I heard, a new BP-Wiki 0.9.x release is only a week or so away.In reply to - Simon commented on the blog post BuddyPress Group Wiki Updated to 1.6 btw. where can we get 1.6, the thing on wp repository still shows 0.9.2.. · View -

Appreciate the update. So bp-wiki is in no way a partially compensated job for you any longer? I recall some mention about a deadline of sorts for a client.
In reply to - Matt Edminster posted an update: Looks like there is a lot more functionality in the wpmu based ”extension” as opposed to the custom posts based ”component”. Is the latter version being actively developed? Dependency on multi-blogs puts some pretty major limits on the number of users who can make use of it. · View -

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/series/ Post your posts as a serie! Justin Tadlock’s plugin was the most standards compliant of the bunch; though there are a couple more up to date alternatives in the bunch, they just don’t strike me as ‘done right’ the way this one is. This plugin can’t be applied to bp-wiki as of this writing [...]

It was being actively developed until as of late:
http://namoo.co.uk/blog/2010/06/10/moving-house/My project’s site relies pretty heavily on this plugin though, so I can’t do much but stay confident in my belief that Mr. Cartwright will soon be power-charging the development of this plugin again

After more extensive playtime with bp-wiki, I realize now that the ability to move pages around is a crucial feature. This goes for three ways of moving: – Moving pages from the root /wiki/ to any /groups/group/wiki/ – Moving pages between groups, like from /groups/mygroup/wiki to /groups/myothergroup/wiki – *Moving pages from /groups/group/wiki to root /wiki/ [...]

http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ptypeconverter/ I recently found this new plugin which helps you easily convert post types. Great for when you’ve been mimicking a wiki with ordinary blog pages and then figure out you want to migrate to something like BP-Wiki. Only problem is, there’s no way to easily fetch and display a wiki page that’s not assigned [...]

Started a group where I’m hoping to see the BP-Wiki community share a whole lot of plugins that in some way extends the limits of bp-wiki’s capabilities as it stands. My first batch of suggestions will immediately follow this update, so go have a look.

Erlend started the forum topic Tool: DokuWiki to BP-Wiki converter; Doku2Buddy in the group Converters: 2 months, 4 weeks ago · View
During the past week or so, one of my project partners has been working on a conversion tool from DokuWiki to BP-Wiki. Please check it out: http://code.google.com/p/doku2buddy/ BP-Wiki plays a big part in our brand new, fully integrated website, so this conversion tool means a lot. Testing would be highly appreciated. If you have any [...]
Hi, I’m the one Erlend speaks of who is working on the conversion tool. It’s still not really ready for the prime time, but I do have some questions for you regarding how the plugin works.. My problem boils down to getting wiki entries to show up under the appropriate group’s tab (I can’t get them to show up anywhere unless I statically link them), my efforts are documented below:

Are there any plans in store for localization of content?
If you could just make sure BP-Wiki is compatible with the WPML plug-in, I think that should suffice. They seem like very collaborative people, I’m sure you could get in touch for some pointers.

This is the engine: http://www.jmonkeyengine.com/ Our website is one big mashup of various popular web systems. We are working feverishly to convert all of our content to a WP+BP install. The two key jobs are SMF->(internal)bbPress and DokuWiki->BP-Wiki. In the long run I’d love to see a set-up more like the hypothetical one we describe [...]

Erlend started the forum topic Wiki markup cross-compatibility in the group BPGW Guide: 3 months, 2 weeks ago · View
First off, is there currently any kind of wiki markup in bp-wiki? So far in my testing I’ve only seen the standard rich text editor. Just to be on the clear, I’m by and large against wiki markup, just like I’m against bbcode. Simplified html should suffice whenever a rich editor is not available; without [...]
